Urban Canvas - St. Gerards Primary School, Widnes

This morning the year 5's from St. Gerards Primary School Widnes, had a taste of pavement art with Urban Canvas. The children spent the morning using pastels to draw their friends self portrait & familiarising themselves with using chalks and pastels. In 40 minutes the children worked on a very long snake in the playground, as shown below. This was practice for the big event on Thursday at Widnes Market.

Tomorrow morning a similar layout will take place but with St. Bedes Primary School, Widnes.

On Thursday the year 5's from St. Gerards and the year 6's from St. Bedes will be joining Urban Canvas in creating the 3D street art piece at Widnes Market. The piece will be symbolic of the chemical industry, representing hope for the future in a bright colourful way.
