Today 56 children took over the Outdoor Widnes Market to create a 3D piece of pavement art with Urban Canvas. The day was split into two as there were two activities for the children to do;
- The 3D Pavement Art
- Pavement Competition
The toss of a coin decided who started where; St. Gerard's Primary School began the morning by starting on the 3D piece. In the meantime St. Bede's Primary School began creating their pavement art competition, with the theme 'Widnes'. After lunch the schools swapped over, the children had a fantastic time (even the teachers)!
We ended the afternoon with a few group shots, lots of laughter & speeches/thank you's to finish. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the schools, Jen Kenworthy http://jenkenworthy22.blogspot.com, Halton Borough Council & Philip and Catherine from Urban Canvas. I hope to work with Philip & Catherine again in the future as I have had the time of my life!
